The Policy at Webster

Webster University Title IX Team - Lori Watson and Kimberley Pert

To offer an open learning and working environment, we have created a policy on sexual harassment. Our Title IX office offers support, training and reporting tools to help members of the Webster University community. We have outlined these resources in our policy and encourage our community to engage with our team openly.

Our Team

Kimberley has been in her role as Interim Head of the Title IX Office since May 2019. Prior to May 2019, she was the Human Resources Manager at Webster University. Kimberley has nearly 15 years of experience in Human Resources. She served as a Title IX Investigator during her tenure as Associate Director of Human Resources at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Kimberley is a 2002 graduate of Webster University. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration and holds PHR (Professional Human Resources) and SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional) certifications. Kimberley is a member of The Association of Title IX Administrators, the Society of Human Resources Management, and College and University Professionals Association.

Lori has a bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, and a Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification. Currently, Lori is enrolled in Webster University’s Master of Arts program in Counseling Psychology (Clinical Mental Health). Since 2011 she has had multiple roles in higher education, including case management of academic integrity violations, where she investigated incidences, conducted fact finding efforts and evidence collection, and witness interviews. In her role as a paralegal at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Lori served on the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and oversaw contract administration. Lori has participated in a variety of legal and human resource training and education including Clery Act and Violence Against Women Act compliance, Court Appointed Special Advocate techniques, Interpersonal Communication, Workplace Harassment Prevention and Management, Restoring the Soul After Sexual Trauma, and Understanding Transgender Issues in the Workplace. Lori is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, the Missouri Peace Officers Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Association of Title IX Administrators.

Title IX Trainings

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights requires all institutions receiving federal funds to make publicly available all materials used to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, and decision-makers. In meeting this requirement, Webster University has provided materials or links to materials starting from the implementation of the new Title IX regulations on August 14, 2020.
